ABOUT THE PROGRAM

About the program

The PLDCA Scholarship Program is an initiative combining education, practical vocational preparation, and entry into the job market in the digital infrastructure sector. The program is aimed at students of technical universities who wish to develop competencies related to the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of data centers.

As part of the program, participants complete the DCD Academy online course and may then undertake a minimum 6-month internship at one of the PLDCA member companies.

Who is it for?

The program is aimed at students of the Warsaw University of Technology and the Poznań University of Technology who plan to graduate in the 2025/2026 academic year and wish to start their career in the data center sector.

You can apply if:

you study at a partner university

you are a student of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering or Faculty of Environmental Engineering

you plan to graduate in the 2025/2026 academic year

you are ready to complete the DCD Academy online course before the internship starts

you can undertake an internship of 160 hours per month for a minimum of 6 months

DCD Academy

DCD Academy is an international training platform specializing in education for the data center sector. The programs are developed by industry practitioners and cover key areas related to the design, construction, and operation of digital infrastructure. As part of the PLDCA Scholarship Program, participants receive access to an online course that introduces the fundamentals of data center operations as well as the most important technical and operational issues. The training consists of 16 modules and a total of 64 hours of study, concluded with knowledge tests.

Completing the course is a significant stage of preparation for the internship and allows you to gain practical, industry fundamentals before starting work at the company.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS

How does recruitment look?

Program application

Fill out the application form by June 19, 2026.

Formal verification

PLDCA and the university verify the completeness of the application and fulfillment of eligibility criteria.

List of candidates for interviews

Candidates are forwarded to internship host companies in the order of application submission and seat availability.

Interviews

Interviews are conducted by companies offering internship positions.

Qualification decision

Notification of results will be provided by June 30, 2026, at the latest.

DCD Academy Course

Qualified students will receive access to the online course.

07

Course Completion

Before starting the internship, you must complete 16 modules and knowledge tests.

Signing the Internship Agreement

An employment contract or civil law contract (umowa zlecenie) will be concluded with the company hosting the internship.

Internship

The internship lasts a minimum of 6 months, for 160 hours per month.

Feedback

After completing the internship, the student and the company fill out a feedback form summarizing the internship.

Scope of responsibilities

Depending on the internship location, opportunity to develop in the areas of design, bidding, servicing, or working directly on a construction project in the field of electrical installations. Sample scope of responsibilities: Preparing offers based on technical documentation, developing installation projects in accordance with applicable standards and guidelines, selecting appropriate technical solutions. Contact with clients and contractors, cooperation with the design and execution team, preparation and supervision of design and as-built documentation. The intern may participate in creating production orders, monitoring progress, schedules, and realization costs, as well as supporting the process of obtaining required permits.
