The development of the Data Center market in Poland from the perspective of companies involved in comprehensive management and implementation of O&M services is primarily the coming era of Hyperscale facilities. The emerging campuses of buildings with huge space for IT and the huge demand for energy are new challenges for both Poland and O&M companies.
At the same time, attention should also be paid to the need to adapt existing Data Center facilities in terms of raising their reliability standards and improving energy efficiency, both through optimizing their operation and comprehensive upgrades that allow them to compete effectively with newly built facilities.
The further development of artificial intelligence and the ongoing digitization process will significantly affect the demand for data center services among companies, which in turn will require the expansion of critical infrastructure and increased computing power. Along with the development of AI technology, we are also witnessing a technological change in air-conditioning systems due to increased computing power.
Among the main challenges facing the Data Center industry is also the realization of obligations from the EED Directive on energy efficiency, both in terms of in-building efficiency, as well as issues concerning the use of green energy and the further use of waste heat.
